Angelica CRUZ

       Angelica " Helen" Cruz, 82 of Lorain passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Autumn Aegis Retirement Community with her family at her bedside.

      Mrs. Cruz was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on October 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Julio Cruz and Fransisca Ayala. A devoted Christian and while living in Puerto Rico sang in the church choir.

     During her working career, she was employed as a seamstress.

     She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching soap operas, playing games on her lap top and dancing.

     Mrs. Cruz will be remembered mostly as a Matriarch, so full of love for her family, she had the natural talent of making every member of the family feel as though they were her favorite.

     Angelica is survived by daughters, Virginia (Marcos) Nieves, Jackeline (Jose) DeJesus, sons Joe (Rebecca) Nieves, Jose (Wanda, deceased) Negron all of Lorain, She is also survived by grandchildren ~ Elizabeth, Misael (Melony), Yesenia, Jose Manuel, Eiris, Jose A., Francisco, Mariely, Veronica, Orlando Jr, great grandchildren ~ Jassiel, Dariel, Neriah, Jose Manuel, Jr., Elijah Manuel, Isaiah Manuel, Francisco, Krystal and a sister Girberta (Ignacio,deceased) Rivera, of New Port Richey, FL.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jose A. Nieves, son Orlando Negron, grandson Joel Nieves, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

     Services will be private.
