Linda Kinzer, 82, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished most.
Born on September 5, 1943, in St. Clairsville, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Frances I. (Bigley) Ault and John Daniel Ault. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1961 and went on to pursue her calling in nursing at St. Joseph's Nursing School.
Linda dedicated 30 years of compassionate service as a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital. She also faithfully served patients at Lorain Community Hospital and the Free Health Clinic in Lorain. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and caring hands brought comfort to countless patients and families throughout her career. Nursing was not just her profession—it was her ministry.
A devoted member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, Linda’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She lived her beliefs through service, generosity, and love for others.
Linda found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved dining out with friends and family, creating cherished memories around the table. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Whether cheering them on, sharing stories, or watching movies together—particularly her favorite programs on the Hallmark Channel—Linda’s happiest moments were those surrounded by family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Dennis Kinzer; her daughter, Kimberly S. Campbell of Cumming; and her son, Michael D. Kinzer of Alpharetta. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Carolyn Simmer of Vermilion; her brother, Joe Ault of Amherst; and her brother Richard Ault and his wife Maureen of Arlington Heights.
Linda’s love continues through her grandchildren: Lukas Campbell, Gabby Campbell, Mallory Campbell, MacKenna Munden, and Holden Munden; and her great-grandchild, McKaylee Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dan Ault.
Visitation will be held at Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00Am with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
